Adyanth Pov
I saw her face lose color after looking at her phone. I was simply staring at her. She feels familiar. As though I have seen her somewhere. But not sure where.
I was watching her movements from the beginning. She was fidgeting throughout the dinner. My intention was not to scare her. But I don't know why I am losing myself around her.
Her brown shiny hair was swaying slightly to the breeze which was coming from the window beside us. Her bright brown eyes full of life filled with fear with a hint of curiosity. I won't get attracted to a girl soon. But this girl sitting across from me is making me question myself. I am always the good boy with my family and friends.
The boy who is a topper. Every parent’s dream child. The eldest child, not given a chance to commit mistakes. The only responsible friend in the group every parent trusts. It was always like this. It felt as though I was not raised by my parents rather I raised myself.
So now when I am losing control of the situation it's terrifying. I didn't lie when I said I will be returning her favour. Unknowingly she has stepped inside my world and I am afraid it's too late for her to step outside this mess.
My parents only know about the perfect side about me. But they don't know that their golden child has fallen into big trouble with no way out and pulling along everyone who crosses my way. I have managed to keep my parents away from this. But I don't know for how long.
She cleared her throat bringing me back to the present. She passed me something.
“Your ID card. It had fallen that night.” She said giving me a small smile trying to hide the tremors running through her after seeing whatever in that phone of hers.
“Thank you for keeping it safe.”
“It's alright. At least now will you say the actual reason for this meeting?” Her curiosity will get her in trouble. I wish I could tell her the truth but right now I have to lie. Even walls have ears.
“I wanted to properly thank you for saving me.” I didn't elaborate. The less she knows it's better.
“That's it?” She asked me leaning a bit forward as though asking me spill all the secrets.
“Well, did you expect to be something else?” I asked slightly, smirking. I wanted to know what's running through her mind.
She masked her expression into disinterest and leaned back into her seat crossing her arms over her chest.
“Umm I meant to say–that..” She trailed off, not completing her sentence.
“What?”
She opened her mouth to say something and decided not to say it.
“It's nothing. I think it's time for me to leave.” At the same time the waiter came and placed the bill.
“I will pay.” I said before she could say anything.
“No, let's split the people. I won't be comfortable if someone pays me for food or something.”
We both argued and decided to split the bill. I just let her do it this time.
After paying we both went outside. As soon as we both went outside the cold air hit us. I saw her tightening the jacket around herself. We both walked for a while in silence.
No words were left to say. Practically we both were strangers and saved each other. Here we are meeting each other for that reason. But the silence was comfortable.
There were less people walking around. What can you expect at 10 in the night? There was a slight buzz sound surrounding us. Maybe it's mosquitos. It's annoying.
“Thank you for today. I will leave now. My cab will be here in a few minutes.” She was walking away from me as though she was escaping from some big trouble. But who's gone tell her that she is the trouble.
I just nodded my head not giving much of a reaction when I wanted to embrace her and cage her in my arms. I can’t do that. Not yet.
I turned around and started walking away from her when she safely sat inside the cab. The urge to look back to get a glimpse of her was very much high. But I had to force myself not to. I know he is watching me and keeping tabs on me.
I went near the parking lot where I had parked my splendor bike. And drove home. The whole way my encounter with her ran through my mind. I was thinking how he could use it against me.
Even though I have not made any mistakes, I am facing the consequences.
As soon as I reached my home, I did all the background checks and made sure that her name did not pop up with my name. I am not sure how I can prevent it. But I have tried my best. If, in case, she gets caught up in my web there is no way out.
With these thoughts I slept.

I don't even know how to react to that message. I was terrified. And I did what other sane people would do. Run. I ran away from him. I don't know if he is the danger or someone is the danger. But as soon as i was near him, i fell into a new trouble. The thing is, I myself is a walking trouble. And associating with a person who is not just trouble but a ticking bomb is not good for me.
So to save myself and everyone I have decided to stay far away from him. When I reached home, the lights were off. When I went inside I saw my father sitting on the chair and writing something. As soon as I walked inside, he saw me and came towards me.
“Do you want me to heat the food?” He asked, adjusting his glasses.
“No Appa. I was hungry so I ate in the canteen.”
“Okay. It's late. Go and sleep. You must be tired.” He said caressing my head and went inside.
I locked the front door and went inside my room. I was very tired to do any self care. After changing I slept. My mind, thinking about all the events that took place in the last 24 hours. I should have just ignored his message and stayed at home.
But no. Madam has to go and bring trouble upon herself. Madam is me, me is madam. But I should not lie, he was really attractive and he had this aura which screamed danger. I was attracted to him, there is no lie in that. But to keep my sanity it's better if I stay away from him as far as possible.
With these running through my mind I slept.
